Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA
My name is Kenneth Dotse, and I am in my final year of pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Since I joined the EPI scholarship program in 2023, my tertiary education has been smooth and profoundly enriched.
The financial support I’ve received through the scholarship has lifted a significant
weight off my shoulders, allowing me to concentrate fully on my studies without the
constant stress of tuition, accommodation, and related expenses. This focus has
enabled me to excel in my coursework and engage more deeply with my
coursework.
Additionally, EPI is much concerned about our professional development as well as
our academic excellence. The mandatory internships I have participated in during
vacations has equipped me with a practical feel of how classroom concepts translate
into real world solutions. Also, the workshops and mentoring sessions provided by
the EPI program have equipped me with essential skills that extend far beyond the
classroom. The emphasis on personal development and soft skills training has
fostered my growth not just as a student but as a future professional. I’ve gained
valuable insights into teamwork, taken leadership roles, and built excellent
communication skills, which will serve me well in my career.
Pursuing a degree in electrical and electronic engineering has been a passion of
mine, driven by a desire to be at the forefront of technological innovation. Growing
up in Ghana, I have always been aware of the technological gap between Africa and
the Western world. As I prepare to graduate, I feel even more compelled to channel
my expertise into bringing local solutions to some problems in Africa related to
education, healthcare, and agriculture. I aim to lead a start-up that will create
innovative solutions to the challenges we face as a society.
I am immensely grateful to the EPI scholarship program for its crucial role in my
education and personal development. The profound impact it has had on my life is
truly beyond measure. As I look towards graduation, I am committed to leveraging
my skills and knowledge to give back, making meaningful contributions to my
community and inspiring others along the way.
Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA
My name is Kenneth Dotse, and I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. I joined the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship program in 2023, and since then, my life has been transformed in many ways.
Firstly, the financial burden of paying for tuition fees, accommodation, and other related costs has been alleviated. I now focus more on my studies without worrying about finances.
Secondly, the periodic workshops with EPI personnel on personal development and soft skills training have exposed me to a wide range of out-of-class knowledge that is essential to my career and personal life. These skills have now become a part of my personal identity, broadening my horizons and enhancing my capabilities.
I chose to pursue a degree in electrical and electronic engineering because of my passion for technology and innovation. As a young person growing up in Ghana, I witnessed the vast potential of technology in transforming our society, and I want to be part of that change. After I complete my degree, I intend to use my skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of my community and Ghana as a whole. Specifically, I plan to work with local tech start-ups and organizations to provide innovative solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing our society today.
I am very grateful to the EPI scholarship program for the opportunity it has given me to pursue my dreams and aspirations. The impact that this program has had on my life cannot be overstated, and I am committed to paying it forward by making a positive impact on my community and society.
