Review for Sandy Paws Rescue Inc, Oak Bluffs, MA, USA
We applied for a puppy that has been shared countless times on their Facebook account. Because we didn't have receipts for heartworm medication. Even though we took top care of our last dog while we had her. We then voiced our concerns on their posts and they blocked my wife. Unacceptable behavior. Also if they really wanted to place these dogs they wouldn't disqualify for such a miniscule reason

To clarify, Sandy Paws Rescue has clear adoption policies that prioritize the well-being of our dogs, which includes verifying consistent preventative care, such as heartworm prevention, for past and current pets. This is not a “minuscule” requirement, as heartworm is a preventable yet serious condition that directly impacts the health and safety of the dogs we place. Unfortunately, when these requirements are not met, we cannot proceed with the adoption. These policies are in place to ensure that every adopter is fully prepared to provide the highest standard of care for their new dog. Regarding the social media comment, blocking is only used when posts become disruptive or hostile to our mission. We encourage open communication, but we also need to maintain a supportive and respectful environment for our team and volunteers.
