Being a foster volunteer for the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA is pretty much amazing. From the moment I joined, I realized that I was becoming a part of a compassionate and enthusiastic community dedicated to saving and improving the lives of animals in need.

The support and guidance provided by the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA team have been exceptional. They go above and beyond to ensure I have the resources and information I need to be a successful foster parent. They also foster a sense of belonging by hosting a volunteer appreciation event and with their personal notes for birthdays and anniversaries. Their commitment is unwavering.

The foster animals themselves are absolutely wonderful and have taught me as much as the humans of PHS & SPCA. Each one comes with their own unique personality and untold story. It brings me pure joy to see them transform and gain trust in humans through the love and care they receive. Being able to witness their progress and help them on their journey to finding a forever home is an experience that I’m so happy to be a part of.
