I received an unanticipated hospital bill after getting major knee surgery, and was so stressed out, but as soon as I contacted BINC they were SO SUPPORTIVE and immediately reassured me that they would help me every step of the way. The worker who reached out to me made it clear that she would be working with me the entire time, that I wouldn’t be shuffled around between departments, that I could contact her with any questions, and she even encouraged me to think of additional bills that they could help me out with. It felt like I’d miraculously been assigned a financial aid case manager. BINC is an absolutely crucial resource for book workers, I am so grateful they exist.
