Within our community you can find one of the friendliest animal shelters, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. During one of the most difficult and unexpected times (start of the pandemic) they were able to connect me with my fur best friend! The staff are always warm and welcoming, educated, they value training, they provide community engagement, and overall a beacon of hope for animals looking for their forever home!
