For over 20 years I have tried to help what I consider to be an extraordinary group of people who have done an incredible job creating a real home for abused and neglected animals, I have witnessed the growth of this refuge in so many different ways. They have created a wonderful place. Look at what has been created; first a large, safe, sheltered place to live with enrichment and caring employees and interns. Then a hospital with an extremely capable vet who gives these animals the care they deserve. Now in addition to expanding space for new cats ,they are working to educate the public and helping to pass laws that have real meaning to help these animals.
Every good organization needs one main element and T.C. has it. Exceptional Leadership! In my opinion this is what has made it the best wildlife refuge. They are the VERY BEST!
In the U.S.A. there are many fine deserving charities. I wish I could support them all but I have to limit myself to three catagories: Veterans/Law Enforcement, Children, and Animals. It was tough but I chose Tunnels to Towers, St. Jude's Hospital and ASPCA but my best find was Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge little known but what an amazing wonderful place.
