My first experience with The Joshua fund was in 2018 when I adopted Gia. Through out the adoption process they answered all of my questions and kept me updated on how Gia was doing while being fostered. On adoption day they made the experience so special. Sadly Gia was diagnosed with Nasal cancer and we lost her 4/14/2023. When Gia was diagnosed Dan (one of the founders) took the time to personally speak to me. Giving me advice and words of encouragement and support. Losing Gia was devastating and it was a few months ago that I came back into contact with one of their volunteers, Lisa. She listened to Gias story and we exchanged many texts back she forth and when the time was right Lisa assured me she would find me the perfect dog again. And well she did !!! We welcomed Winnie (formally Hazel) into our home. I cannot thank each and every volunteer enough. The amount of time and compassion they put into these recuses is incredible. Without them I would have never had my Gia and now Winnie. Winnie’s adoption day was extra special and I wanted to thank each and every person at the Joshua Fund for turning such a sad time with the loss of Gia into something so special with placing Winnie with me. . Keep doing what you’re doing, you are amazing people.
