While I have yet to actually visit Turpentine Creek in person. I feel almost as though I have spent the last few years of my life there! During COVID, the staff went on Facebook Live and spent 15 to 20 minutes twice a day taking us all over the sanctuary and introducing us to all of the cats and the bears (and even a hyena!) It made me feel like I was a part of what they were doing and not just someone who sends money a couple of times a year. TCWR is 100% transparent about everything they do...even taking us in to watch minor veterinary procedures and keeping us updated on the health and welfare of their animals. I feel like I know Emily and Meg and Jason even though we've never met. Emily still takes us to visit animals live every Tuesday. Recently TCWR took on the massive task of building Freedom Field so they they could take in all the cats from Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. I am proud to be a supporter and adoptive parent and will be for many years to come.
