I am so grateful that LAHPSTR was here when I needed to find a new home for my furry friend. It was important to me to know that he would be well cared for and would not be at risk of being euthanized. The intake process was very thorough - they really wanted to understand my dog's concerns and needs to know whether they would be equipped to care for him and this was reassuring to me. They were also very compassionate when it came to my circumstances. I was treated very kindly and had no sense of being guilted or judged about my choice to give my dog over to a rescue. I was not rushed at all to say goodbye on the day I delivered my dog. worked directly with Malini, and she has such a kind and calming presence.

The fosterers have been very responsive in providing specific updates, so I have a sense of how my friend is doing, and I know they are investing a lot of time and resources into his care. This rescue has made a very difficult time that much easer. I am very hopeful that my friend is on his way to his best life. LAHPSTR is truly one of a kind!
