Review for Stupid Cancer, New York, NY, USA
I'm Too Young For This! starts with a mission statement and follows through with dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers and staff. At once realistic and idealistic, and a bit irreverent, i2y is exactly what I, and many others, needed when they were diagnosed. It is a chance to fight back rather than pity, to join in a network that makes you feel vibrant rather than feeble. This is a unique group, working towards an ambitious goal, that works hard to achieve that goal.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the enthusiasm. When I told them that I wanted to do a fundraiser for them, but I wanted it this way and that way, they still went out of their way to support me, creating logos, helping with logistics, sending a staff member to assist me the night of...
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
extremely dedicated and knowledgeable. Carolyn Koncal helped at my event and was able to inundate every guest there with information about young adult cancers, and Matthew constantly impressed me with his continued contact and follow-up.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
really attack it's mission for legislation supporting YA cancers. In my opinion, money is exactly what the organization is missing. It is limited mainly to events that are free or cost minimal to put on, and donations that arrive in small amounts.
