My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Cambodian Children's Fund, Santa Monica, CA, USA
This was one of the most transformative periods of my entire life.
It has been truly remarkable volunteering with this incredible NGO, and grateful for all I have been exposed to.
It’s never easy arriving in a foreign country for the first time, but all the CCF staff and co-volunteers helped make my time here even more exceptional.
One of the most meaningful aspects of this volunteer experience was getting to mentor the students. It was special teaching them how to write social media posts, which is something I didn’t learn until I was in university.
I’ll never forget interviewing Granny Samean at the World Housing complex and being gifted with an excessive amount of food as a thank you for taking the time to hear about her story. The kindness displayed from her and everyone else during this period is unmatched and they have made me feel as if I’m one of them.
I was extremely touched to feel so included in all the activities and games, and invited to attend many events and activities inside and outside of CCF.
I now feel as if I’m a member of a large family and it’s phenomenal seeing how my presence here has positively changed the lives of so many people.
I know this will not be it.
This isn’t goodbye, this is see you later.
Thank you for everything CCF.
