While doing TNR earlier this year, I came across Jack - the sweetest cat ever who lived an obviously rough life. A vet visit determined he had stomatitis. His mouth was so painful, he could hardly eat. The dental appointment was scheduled and I set out to find a way to cover the costs of a full dental extraction. I reached out to many rescues who were unable to help, so when I received an email from 4Paws1Heart stating they could help this sweet boy, I was ecstatic. Unfortunately, two days after his mouth surgery, he developed a severe infection. I took him to an emergency vet and his prognosis was grim. They suggested hospitalization, but did what they could with the funds I had. I thought for sure I signed his death warrant when I took him home that night. I reached out to 4Paws1Heart again that night with little hope since hospitalization was so costly. Again, they stepped up! I took him to one of their amazing veterinarians they work with, and they immediately hospitalized him. For five days they kept him, gave him everything he possibly needed, and 4Paws1Heart footed the bill. It was a long road to recovery, and he still has a little more healing to do, but here we are several months later and Jack, the most gentle, loving cat I've ever known is still with us and thriving. He's living the best life he's always deserved, after 8 years of being failed by humans. He's happy, healthy, and alive all thanks to 4Paws1Heart. I am forever grateful to Diane and everyone at 4Paws1Heart for saving Jack and all the other animals they've helped over the years. Jack was worth saving. I hope they're able to continue with saving many more lives.
