I have been blessed to call Kristin Ford my best friend for more than 30 years. When her son Kellan passed away from brain cancer at age 5, the lives of Kristin, her husband Mike, her son Parker and all those that love them were changed forever. To honor Kellan’s life, brave battle with cancer, and his legacy of “choosing happiness,” Kristin and Mike established the Kellan Ford Foundation to further funding for pediatric cancer research, make holistic treatment options more readily available, bring love and joy to those children and their families going through the cancer journey, and support the bereaved by building a strong community for them to rely on. I am truly inspired by how Kristin has channeled her grief and loss into an amazing organization that has already helped so many. I am proud to routinely donate $ and volunteer time to help with fundraising events for such a worthy cause. It keeps me and my family close to our friend with Kellan always on our minds and in our hearts. I tell everyone that will listen about my best friend and her incredible family, hoping that Kellan’s story will encourage them to do their part to help fight this devastating disease.
