The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation changes (and saves) lives. When a loved one is diagnosed with a rare cancer- it is scary, isolating, and heartbreaking. The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation turned the unknown into hope. They provide information on treatments, clinical trials, and research from leaders in the field in a way that is digestible to caregivers and patients, yet still supports an environment for scientists and medical professionals to collaborate in. The patient and caregiver centered mission of the foundation is nourished through the CholangioConnect program, which has allowed me personally to build friendships and bonds with people who have walked the same difficult path. The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation makes sure that no one will have to navigate this journey alone, and that is truly priceless.
