When my brother in arms told me about CMO I thought it was too good to be true. There's no way an organization can do the things he told me CMO was doing. But it is true. I was contacted by CMO and offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to hunt South Texas. They flew this South Carolina boy out to Texas and I got to hunt in a place I never dreamed I would. Everything about this trip was first class, every staff member, every volunteer, and our host. All of them were true patriots and great Americans who wanted to give back to our Veterans. South Texas was absolutely gorgeous and the game animals were as abundant as the generosity of our host and guides but the real trophy was the opportunity to form lifelong friendships with new people and to reinvigorate our warrior spirits as we bonded over the memories of our combat experiences and our mutual love and respect for the outdoors. CMO is changing the lives of our Veterans in the most profound way, not only by giving us the opportunity to hunt, fish, and fellowship together, but by showing us that there are still people who care about us and that our sacrifices didn't go unnoticed. I returned from my trip with a new appreciation for life after combat and a full heart, forever grateful for this experience and the new family that found me.
