Gateway is a fantastic school, dedicated to helping neurodiverse middle and high school kids realize their potential. Neurodiverse young adults statistically have a difficult time finding and keeping gainful employment. Gateway focuses on putting students through unique programs such as the social/emotional program to help students understand "unwritten" rules of society and how to navigate them. Then there is the employment program which helps students put lessons into practice in an internship while also learning about resume writing, financial literacy, and more. Each graduate leaves with work experience and transferable skills to begin careers, or go off to college and fine tune their development. The results have been fantastic: 100% of the 2023 graduating class either began working careers or went off to college. Gateway is giving these students a strong education, a fulfilling high school experience (sports, prom, clubs, etc.), and defying the trends by giving neurodiverse students a future full of indepence.
