Project Esperanza is a bright light shining in the heart of Puerto Plata in the Dominican. Caitlin, the founder and director of Esperanza, walks-the-walk each and every day. Dedication, boundless energy, hard work, and faith drive the success of the project. The mission of Esperanza is changing lives and inspiring others to live out the true meaning of loving your neighbor as yourself. The precious children Esperanza serves are receiving an education, food, a safe place, hope, love, laughter, and for so many a future that holds promise. The work that is taking place not only lifts up these children but the entire community as well.

It has been a privilege to spend three weeks at Project Esperanza teaching Science and English. I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful, important, and impactful project!

Esperanza means hope and that is literally what a volunteer experience can give!
