As a veteran with PTSD and a recipient of a SD from K9s For Warriors, I can’t thank them enough for giving me my life back.

From the moment I applied they kept in touch each month while I was waiting for my class date. Checking in with me regarding my personal needs, to provide information regarding the program, or waitlist updates. I never expected this but it was nice to know I was not forgotten about or just another number. Knowing someone cared meant a lot to me during my time of need.

Once at K9s I felt welcomed and instantly cared for like family. There was nothing I needed. From the living accommodations, the food, the training, the support, and all of the staff and volunteers. I felt like K9s had a plan for everything so that I only had to focus on my success with my new service dog. The campus was amazing and was the first time in years that I felt safe and was able to actually sleep well.

After leaving K9s campus and returning home they continued to stay in contact on a monthly basis and often times more frequently. To know they continue to care about my success is greatly appreciated and has been tremendously helpful as I continue my journey to get back to the life I once lived.

Thank you for everything you do K9s For Warriors and thank you for my new best friend. You have given me more than I can write in a review and have not only changed my life but also the lives of my family and friends.
