I inherited a love for Native American history and peoples from my parents. I investigated a number of prominent Native American not-for-profit organizations when I reached the point of being able to make donations. There are many doing laudable work but First Nations Development Institute stands out for the
depth and breadth of their work and their commitment to excellent programming, integrity and transparency. I admire FNDI and its outstanding staff. I agree with their mission statement:

"First Nations Development Institute is a national, nonprofit, Native American organization whose mission is to strengthen American Indian economies to support healthy Native communities.

We believe that only solutions designed by Native peoples, for Native peoples, through the control of their assets and based on their cultural values, will succeed."

It is my pleasure to contribute in a very small way to their ongoing efforts.
