I've adopted 3 senior cats from this organization, and volunteer for them as well. They are so committed to the animals in their community and making sure each animal and family has the best chance to find each other and stay together. I'm currently fostering a formerly feral mom and it's so rewarding to think she's going to have the best life thanks to AWLA helping with her babies, who all found homes. I also fostered a rescue from a puppy mill -- AWLA steps up whenever an animal is need. It's an amazing group of people and I chose to become a board member as well because of all the good they do.
