DIEP C Foundation changed my surgical path after being diagnosed with breast cancer. I had bilateral mastectomy with tissue expanders placed. I also had radiation which delayed any reconstruction. It was at this time when I found DIEP C Foundation. There is an endless array of information when it comes to breast cancer, reconstruction, and survivorship. It was through Terri's interviews with physicians and specialists that really taught us how to navigate this path. We went from settling for whatever services were available in our rural area to traveling for the best microsurgeons available. What a true blessing!!
