The Vouchers for Veggies is a great program. I am the Site Director at El Concilio CA (Stanislaus County) and we partnered with V4V to bring fresh fruits and vegetables to low-income families in the central valley of California. The additional infusion of the V4V funds helped our families to not only stretch their food budget but gave them access to fresh and healthy ingredients to prepare more nutritious meals for themselves and their families. Many of our families shared that the V4V program helped them through tough times and kept food on their tables when other income had been reduced.
The application process was fairly easy and working with the V4V team facilitated a supportive experience. If we had questions they were always there to support us through any process. We hope to continue working with the Vouchers for Veggies Program in the future and increase the number of community members that we can assist.
