With a help of all of so much kindness, love and support, we were able to start Compassion Kitchens this year in 2023. We were created with one focus, to provide meals to kids living in hunger. After working in Colombia these past years with a variety of kitchens, and starting one myself, I learned very quickly what works and what doesn't. Our strategy is very simple, we make friendships and alliances with small community kitchens in areas that have extreme hunger and poverty and then we make monthly purchases at local markets of the basic food needed for them to keep their kitchen running.

We currently as of October, 2023 are supporting 6 kitchens, which combined, serve over 600 children meals. Because we are fully volunteer powered and have no administrative costs we are able to provide 5-6 meals per $1 dollar donation. Currently we pay approximately $1 for 1 kilo of rice and $2 per kilo of lentils.

This is not possible without the generous support of our donors and volunteer team. Thank you all so much and may we continue to be of benefit to the children who need us.
