Review for Active Minds, Inc., Washington, DC, USA
Active Minds will always be dear to us. For over 12 years we have been monthly donors to this life-saving organization that is changing the conversation about mental health on college and high school campuses nationwide.
We first became connected to Active Minds when our daughter Sarah helped start a chapter on the Smith College campus. Chapter members are at the heart of Active Minds’ innovative, student-to-student model, which addresses the fact that most young adults are more likely to seek help from a friend than anyone else.
As their website describes, Each year, more than 15,000 students join or launch a chapter at their school to change the culture around mental health in their communities and inspire action among their peers. At this moment when young people across the country have themselves acknowledged the psychological challenge of responding to the aftermath of the pandemic, the trauma of climate change and the threat of global political instability, it’s more important than ever that we act boldly on their behalf.
Annie and I are proud to support Active Minds and the impactful work they are doing across the country. In our minds, Active Minds, is a Great Nonprofit! Annie and Mark
