Compassion Kitchens is an amazing organization with a great mission to feed as many children as possible. I first learned of Compassion Kitchens while visiting Colombia. I had the pleasure of meeting Derek and working alongside of him in one of the kitchens he supports in Medellin. I was touched by the amount of love the children received from Derek and the other volunteers. Since then, Compassion Kitchens has expanded to support several local kitchens across Colombia. The organization reaches many poor communities with displaced refugees and children from displaced indigenous tribes. I plan to continue to support Compassion Kitchens and hope to have the chance to volunteer again soon.
