I’ve been a member of the WPT for quite a few years now. When I was working full-time, I had a small amount taken from each paycheck and sent to the world parrot trust. My employer offered that option and I was very glad to be able to contribute on a regular basis to such a great organization. Now that I’m retired, I have to limit how much I can contribute, but I still do when I can. I’ve been a parrot owner for many years and currently have three wonderful parrots. It amazes me how aware and intelligent they are, and how they can actually communicate to me what they need. I know many organizations such as the world wildlife fund and ocean conservancy need support and sometimes I do support them when I can, but I always come back to thinking I really am grateful I can still help WPT. I’ve been through quite a lot with these wonderful birds, and I hope I can always help support WPT. I was fortunate to be able to attend many conference calls and see how so many wonderful people are helping to support parrots in the wild. They are just amazing human beings, and I thank them all. I would encourage anyone to help support this amazing organization to help parrots to thrive in the wild.
