Empowering teachers and school personnel to recognize and appropriately address bias in schools is critical to making our schools a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. I had the pleasure of observing ENCOMPASS's training on homophobia in schools and it was by far the best teacher training I have seen. The information was presented in a unique format that was creative and engaging. The teachers in the training were actively participating and, as a result, developing the skills they need to effectively create a safe space in their classrooms. I would recommend ENCOMPASS to any school district without hesitation.

During the three hours of training that I observed, the ENCOMPASS trainer helped teachers build the confidence and tools needed to actually create a bias-free classroom. The teachers were very responsive and appreciative of the practical experience and advice offered by the ENCOMPASS trainer.

I would not make any changes to the "Creating Bias Free Classrooms" training program. I am not familiar enough with ENCOMPASS's other work that I could make a suggestion in this regard.
