Review for Snowbird Outfitters Inc, Andrews, NC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I went to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters Summer camp last August. At first I was thinking 'Sure, there are all sorts of "Extreme" camps for kids, but none for teens' -I was really, REALLY wrong.

My week at SWO was amazing, I did everything from Horseback riding to White water rafting, to riding a Zipline, and in everything we did we learned about God through it- There's nothing like White water rafting in Refreshing cool water to show you God's awesome power and providence in your life.
The Messages in the Coop as given by Brody and the Big Kahuna were really radical and down to earth- they taught about real life stuff in a way that really clicked with me- They didn't Preach at me like they expected me to understand Shakespeare, but they didn't talk to me like they expected me to be in elementary school either.

The Break-out sessions after the morning Coop session were the BEST: I mean, we got real, and Important information in a small group setting- It really gave the information a sense of urgency, and I felt like I was part of a group working towards a common goal that held significance- Like I was a soldier in a briefing.

One of the things you could choose to do with your time was to join up with a missions group and go into the near-by town and help out. My group went to a nursing home and hung out with the residents for a while, and it was a really great time.

I personally experienced the results of this organization in myself. I know- Selfish, but I really did. I learned to be a team player there, I built friendships that are strong and important, I learned to look at life as something precious and I learned that Life is about more than just being happy and surviving the day.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I'm not sure what I could do to make it better; Snowbird is on the right track with everything they're doing right now. I might want to add a few hours to the day or make the stay longer, but other than that there's nothing I can think of.
