Review for Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences Inc, Doraville, GA, USA

25 years of drinking led me to a place of increasing isolation, poor choices and countless attempts to control the alcohol and manageability of my life. Driving drunk, losing control of my car, ultimately took the life of a young woman, also injuring her husband. Deep in a pit of despair, I was led to MARR where I discovered there was hope for the emotional, physical and mental bankruptcy of my soul. MARR's genuine love & expertise saved my life, introduced me to a God of grace & forgiveness and showed me the tools I need to stay sober one day at a time. I dare imagine what my life would now be like without them.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the continued dedication and commitment of MARR that shows thousands of individuals like myself, the tools to lasting sobriety, quality of life, restoration of meaningful relationships with family and friends, ability to make amends, becoming responsible citizens. I am 10 yrs. sober, attending MARR's Recovering Professionals Program weekly for the past 5 yrs. and have the opportunity to see the lasting difference that MARR Staff, Volunteers, and Alumni impact on those in treatment. It is overwhelming!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make sure MARR could always have scholarship funding available for anyone desiring treatment.

Role:  Client Served & In turn, I was able to share the hope & miracles of sobriety with other women while incarcerated for 5 years, and now the past 5 years with others that still suffer from this disease. .
