My Nonprofit Reviews

As a result of working with Melwood, my worldview on people with disabilities has changed. Almost 70% of Melwood staff are people with disabilities working side by side with people who do not identify as having a disability. And yet in many circumstances, it is impossible to determine who does and who does not have a disability. Everyone is doing their job to the best of their ability - to create a world that is fully inclusive of people with disabilities. Melwood has allowed me to recognize my own biases, and become even more passionate about supporting this crucial work.
