I worked as one of OEC's contract lobbyist during the 2023 Oregon Legislative Session. OEC came to the legislative session with a bold vision - with goals aimed at making progress to protect human and environmental health, clean water, and clean energy for all Oregonians. Despite challenges which often felt insurmountable – including the longest legislator walk out in Oregon’s history – OEC had an incredibly successful session, and aided Oregon in taking critically important steps on public health and environmental priorities.

Some of their successes include the passage of:
- modernized Toxic Free Kids Act
- Toxic Free Cosmetics Act
- Clean & Healthy Routes to School
- Right to Refuse Dangerous Work
- the Climate Resilience Policy package - which includes hundreds of millions of state investment in clean energy technology and much more.

Not only is OEC incredibly adept at passing legislation that will positively impact Oregonians across the state, they are an absolute pleasure to work with. All of their staff are whip smart, responsive, and easy to work with. Their expertise and deep understanding of the many complexities around passing legislation in Oregon lend to their massive success. Furthermore, it is clear that each and every one of them genuinely cares about the work that they do.
