Review for Michigan Scholastic Cycling Association, Brighton, MI, USA
MiSCA is one of the most professionally ran organizations I have ever been a part of.
Mostly known for the six race series held throughout the state in the fall, but really the support is driven year round by enabling teams to build community around the state. Through MiSCA, our team has one 100 kids that ride mountain bikes together multiple times per week, building strong work ethics, focusing on a specialized talent, creating long lasting friendships, creating active lifestyles, strengthening parent/ child relationships, and allowing beginners a place to learn and feel welcomed. We owe much of our spring, summer, and fall fun and time to the foundation MiSCA has established.
As for the races, you can't find a much better ran event... especially for kids only. A place where every child plays every minute. An environment where riders, families, & fans cheer on other competitors regardless of their jersey color. There is satisfaction in winning, in reaching the podium, in reaching one spot better than before, and there is satisfaction in just completing the event. Races produce lifetime memories and opportunities for collegiate scholarships and beyond. MiSCA has provided a foundation for kids to succeed in bike racing and in life.
