Review for Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences Inc, Doraville, GA, USA
My husband attended MARR for 6 months. I had no idea how important MARR would be for me during that time and since he has come home. They helped me understand the disease and my part in my families recovery. I still use MARR as a resource on a weekly basis to continue my work in recovery. I'm happy to say my husband has been sober now for over 18 months and my two boys and I could not be happier to have him home with us each and every day. It has been nothing short or a miracle and some great guidance from the staff at Marr and those involved in the MARR family network. Thank you!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The disease of alcoholism strengthened my tolerance for insanty. With the help of MARR I have re-learned what I'm willing to live with and what I'm not willing to live with and how to express my feelings in a loving, caring way. I've learned how to open up and share with others like never before. I've learned that I'm far from perfect and that's a good thing. I've learned that I need to keep coming back for myself and others.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Help implement childcare for parents that attend meetings. One of our greatest expenses throughout this process has been childcare. We want our children to grow up around Marr, knowing all about it, so I'd love it if I could attend a meeting and bring my kids along and know they were safe and happy playing while I was getting the help I needed. I'd be happy to help make this happen!
