I have been volunteering with SAFE for almost 3 years and I am totally impressed with not only their care for their charges but also for the way they run their rescue. Everything is transparent. If you want to know something just ask. There have been some amazing horses that have come through horrible circumstances and SAFE has not only brought them back to health but have provided them with the handling and training needed to make an adoption a positive experience for both horse and adopter. All of this takes money...I do hope they can win this wonderful award and continue with this necessary work.

Watching horses come in close to death leave with a new owner in incredible health and as compainions on the trail or performing in the arena. It absolutely amazes me how these beautiful creatures can forgive us and get past some of the torture they've endured.

They are already in the process of making changes that are really going to benefit the organization for horse and volunteer alike. I am very impressed with the leadership.
