My husband and I have volunteered with Project Sanctuary for over 10 years. Every retreat is an experience of grace and mercy, breaking down barriers and building bridges of communication, recognition of the pain of our brokenness and the joy of healing. As a pediatrician I am always in awe of how emotional healing leads to physical health. The families leave with new skills, to use for their continued journey and hope for their future. I also leave with renewed joy and faith in the love of neighbor in honoring the Creator.
