Review for Springfield Rescue Mission (SRM), Springfield, MA, USA

As a long time donor and volunteer, the Mission is very close to my heart. I have a family member that could benefit from the Mission, but unfortunately, he is not in the area. I admit to starting my volunteer work and financial support for selfish reasons - it simply made me feel as if I were helping my Brother. I soon came to realize the joy it brings me to work with the staff in this ministry. I have seen first hand the transformation of many of the men that have gone through the 12 month program - and will continue to support this Christian organization in any way I can.

Feedback from the resident's in the men's program have been very rewarding. They appreciate even the slightest statement of encouragement.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Not change a thing - except support the in their efforts to expand both in terms of the physical location and numbers of men, women and children they assist each day.

Role:  Volunteer & I am a regular volunteer in the kitchen on holidays and during the week; have prepared meals for the residents dinner; delivered meals to the needy and homeless on the streets of springfield; and donated money and services to the Mission.
