Review for The Humane Society of the United States, Washington, DC, USA
HSUS goes the distance for animals with a voice that crosses geographical and psychological boundaries in successful attempts to break bad habits and cycles of societal operations that negatively impact life; thus, improving the world around us. The HSUS has accomplished great feats in changing chronic dire circumstances for all types on animals that not only go unnoticed in society but often sit day after day in torture for the benefit of mankind without a saving grace to offer even a moment of comfort. Furthermore, HSUS disaster relief efforts nationwide have greatly assisted in crisis situations as without their hands on help, public support, media exposure, and experience, many people and animals would suffer greater hardship. And HSUS also excels in the assistance of animal justice in legal cases that would possibly become unjustly minimized without a strong voice of compassion, enlightenment, and need for animals. Due to this undying, amazing focus on animal cruelty and welfare, HSUS has given a face to all suffering animals, pet owners, and reinforces the significance of all life on our earth. I would like to see HSUS increase their efforts on government run shelters where animal over-population, over-congestion, and massive euthanasia often occurs. Poor conditions are common in many state-county shelters with minimal means being the operative term. Maybe create a specific multifaceted task force to address such shelters and the "short-lived" resident animals that often lack any chance at all.
