Since 2019 I have been actively involved with Nor Cal SUP Groms program as an adult volunteer. Nor Cal SUP Groms program is a very well-organized stand-up-paddle board program that teaches paddling techniques while having fun on the water (pic incl). In addition to improving ones paddling skills, water Safety is a very important part of the program along with keeping our waterways and land clean with beach clean-up days; also bringing the park rangers in to talk about their job/our local lakes & rivers/even rattle snakes; and while paddling on the water they are learning about the birds that migrate to the local area and even have spotted Bald Eagles. Over 1000s kids have been taught to stand-up-paddle board thru Nor Cal SUP which even includes taking out local foster youth as a special treat to them (pic incl). Having this incredible nonprofit, Nor Cal SUP Groms, in my own backyard is an asset to myself and to many others in our community.
