I have been a dog walker at the APA for about 4 years now. The first thing I did after I retired was to sign up as a volunteer. I look forward to going in each week and seeing all the pups that so desparately need attention and companionship. Its hard to walk away each time without taking one home. Some of the longer- time residents really get to know you and are so excited when you show up at their kennel for some quality time. Its very satisfying and sad at the same time when you come in one week and they arent there...but then you learn they were adopted! What a great organization with a great, caring staff.
