Heads Up! Hartford changed my life. After difficult times in middle a school, it provided me with perspective and pushed me out of my comfort zone — exactly what I needed. I had grown up in an almost all-white town in Connecticut, and Heads Up! Hartford gave me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and realize how much we had/have in common. Some of the people I met there are still my best friends.
