Review for Can Do Canines, New Hope, MN, USA
When Steve got Grady, he was a successor dog, who came to live with us 6/2/22. Rhett was Steve’s original service dog who passed away at 13 1/2 years old. Steve knew he wanted another Can Do Canine because Rhett was such an enormous help to him. in spring of 2022, Can Do Canines developed the companion dog program. After taking part in a seminar, Steve knew this was perfect for him. Grady retrieves for Steve, brings the laundry basket to Steve, opens doors and cupboards, and most importantly, nudges me to alert me that Steve needs help. This is especially important at night as I do not hear well and do not have my hearing aids in at night. Grady also provides pressure therapy on Steve’s back. Grady licks Steve’s head (gives “lovies”) for comfort. Of special importance is the confidence he gives Steve. Can Do Canines is a tremendous organization. The training they give the dogs (including seminars by zoom) on interesting topics related to the dogs are also wonderful. This organization is priceless and we are so thankful for them!
