I have volunteered with AAi for many years. Serving the underprivileged by packing food boxes, donating them, serving the needy, and building mini houses are some of the things I have done. Always I am more blessed than the people I serve. The added bonus is to work alongside others, from different ethnic and religious backgrounds. It is always enriching and worldview expanding. In the last few years, starting with the Covid shutdown, AAi starting ministering to the underprivileged through Veggielation - a nonprofit that used organic locally grown product to pack in boxes for distribution. I met Eva there and over the course of months, we became friends apart from serving with AAi. We both share many common interests including we both are teachers, we love serving the poor, and play Pickleball. Eva and I are with a group of ladies that meet several times a week to play. She has become a dear trusted friend. We share about our families, our interests, and personal struggles. I am so blessed to have gotten to know Eva, which I wouldn't have unless I was volunteering with AAi.
