My Nonprofit Reviews

As a NICA alum to a NICA coach, I am wholeheartedly filled with admiration for this organization. It's difficult to put into words just how profoundly NICA has impacted my life, but I know that I wouldn't be the person I am today with the same values if it wasn't for this org. From freshman year in high school, to senior year, this organization changed my life. I was a moody teenager with a million reasons to hate my parents and to complain about life, and transformed into a girl that now wanted to be outside and ride my bike. I finally had something that my parents and I enjoyed together. It gave me a reason to love nature, meet friends with common interests and build a community of my own. It also gave me a reason to care about my trails and led to my interest in mountain bike stewardship. Once my senior year ended, I was still not done with NICA and went on to coach with my league. I can attest to NICA building stronger minds, bodies, character and community because it did all 4 for me.
