PMD offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals. The projects are easy to sign up for and are always accompanied by detailed instructions. PMD offers projects benefiting many causes in the Greater Boston community including environmental projects, STEM-related projects, and projects benefiting the local elderly and unhoused populations. Most recently, I volunteered for a project where I helped assemble essential toiletry bags for unhoused clients of Pine Street Inn. It was a great opportunity to work with a small group on a meaningful task and bond over shared interests.

I participated in the PMD Spring Benefit project back in May, which entailed packing bags of essentials to be donated to Pine Street Inn in support of the homeless population. PMD Leadership took great care of the volunteer group, ensuring that we had all of the necessary supplies and instructions in order to successfully complete this project. We received thorough directions and expectations of the volunteers were very clear. The passion and excitement from Lori and the rest of the volunteer group was truly inspiring, and left me with a smile on my face for the remainder of the day. I highly recommend participating in a PMD project. Even donating just a few hours of time on a periodic basis can have a significant and positive impact on our local communities.
