Review for Doggone Safe, Wesley Chapel, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Review of Doggonesafe:
As a dog trainer and dog owner safety around dogs is a topic dear to my heart.
Doggonesafe is a unique non-profit organization that is dedicated to educate and make interactions between children and dogs safe.

The information given on the doggonesafe website is of great concern to all parents, all grand parents, all children, all child educators, all dog owners, all dog handlers and dog-related professionals, in all a huge segment of our population!

All of the information offered on the doggonesafe website is free to the public, easily accessible and can be used to prevent dog bites.

Dog bites to children are rampant in Canada: Every 2nd child by the age of 12 years being bitten by a dog.
2/3rds of these bites are from dogs the child is familiar with - so most of these bites could have been prevented by the caretakers of the children or dogs, had they only been educated.
Most of the other 1/3rd of bites could also have been prevented, had every child been educated with doggonesafe, either the 'Be A Tree' program or the free body language guide on the website.

The "Be A Tree" program is geared towards educating children in grades K-4. However, whenever I present the "Be A Tree" program in a class room setting, the attending teachers will tell me how much they did not know and how much they learned!

The "Be A Tree" presentation is easy available in Canada and the US. It can be purchased from the website; interested parties can become presenters; it can be booked to visit the class rooms of your schools.

To everyone out there with a concern for children or dogs:
I highly recommend to browse through the doggonesafe website. Learn about dogs. Learn what a safe dog looks like. Learn what a dangerous dog looks like. Learn about their body language expressions of uneasiness in social situations. Keep your dog safe. Keep your children safe.

Sincerely,
Domena Diesing

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

dealing with private clients and presenting in schools.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make membership obligatory for families with children and dogs.

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & I have used doggonesafe information with private clients, in my dog training classes, in the public realm and presented to children in clas room settings.
