After almost two years of searching for a small dog, we came upon our dog Jeannie. I saw her online and immediately contacted Ashtabula County Animal Protective League. They were very kind and helpful in telling me how to make application, which I did quickly. They reviewed it promptly and notified me that we were accepted. We drove the two hours to see our puppy for some bonding time. They found a wonderful foster that cared for her until the spay was performed and we could pick her up. Everyone there was so professional and kind. What a great experience. I wish I lived close enough to volunteer there.
