I started volunteering with the ACAPL in early August and have come to realize they truly care about the animals. They have come a long way in 3 years and are constantly looking for ways to improve and implementing those improvements. They advocate for volunteers to complete Fear Free Training and they themselves have implemented many suggestions from the Fear Free Trainings. They’re doing an amazing job, especially as they are the only shelter in Ashtabula County.
