Review for Snowbird Outfitters Inc, Andrews, NC, USA
Without Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters, my life would be drastically different. I live in a world today where the Christian church has fallen on hard times. While all kinds of franchises and institutions do so well in achieving their goals, I find it sad often that the American church cannot reach their goals as easily as say, a company like Chipolte or one of those new yougart shops. I would say that Chipolte and any yougart shop like Red Mango are booming stores in America today. These are great resturants, that may only be hot for a number of years, but they are reaching their goals as competitive, businesses that fill a need in the public eye. It's often sad that the church can't provide such clear cut needs and wants from the public.
While the church is not a franchise or a brand or a business, I do think that the church has clear goals that people want to be see accomplished. And in my experience, Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has accomplished those goals in a way that outdoes any other church or organization that I know of.
I worked on staff for Snowbird for four summers, and brought a group of students there for another summer, and have consistently been amazed at how this place has given me so much encouragement and direction in life. As a staff member, every summer I met people who were devoted to living out the basic ideas of Christianity and teaching them to students. Between the summers, those people who I worked with became some of my best friends in the off-season, and have developed as ministry partners in American and overseas.
For some reason, perhaps unexplainable, a great number of my close friendships with people in this world have developed at this camp. Much of it is because Snowbird stresses so much the importance of community in the Christian life, and the importance of living out the basics of the faith. I cannot explain why I have deeper relationships with the people I have met at this camp, than perhaps say people I meet at the local church or at college, but I do know that there is something real about this place that is different than any place I have every been to in my life.
To close, ideally I would like to make this place a franchise and try to replicate what goes on at this place all around the country. However, such a thing cannot happen because there is only one snowbird and part of what makes it special is that I have great relationships with the leadership and staff. It is unique, but whatever I can do to help further it's goals, I am a part of that. Thank you SWO and may you continue to achieve so many goals of Christianity community and truth that you set yourself after.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My own personal life. My closest friends I have met here and I continually go back to Snowbird as a place of rest and recharging. To me Snowbird is a modern monastery. Long live SWO and it's amazing staff.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I like it the way it is.
