I am associated with Wildlife SOS since the past 10 years, first as a visitor, then a volunteer and then as a Board member. In these years I have interacted with both staff members and the co founders, and have the utmost regard for this team. Its a pleasure to see the animals - the bears rescued from a miserable life and finally living peacefully, their illiterate owners helped to find alternate ways to earn their livelihood, their children enrolled in schools, a holistic solution to the 'Dancing Bears' of India. A solution that required many years of dedication and commitment by Wildlife SOS.
The elephant hospital with its state of the art facilities to treat the various problems that they come with, is impressive and path breaking at the same time. Watching such competence compels one to do ones bit, especially if one is an animal lover.
The massive scale of operations covers wildlife crime investigation and a rescue hotline for wild animals in many cities in India. Finally it is the dedication of passionate individuals that can make a difference.
