Critter Camp became our hero when they helped us rescue a pet rat from some very unkind college kids who were in my niece’s dorm. Poor Totoro the rat became very scared and bitey from his negative experiences with humans so he made a dangerous pet for the typical family. We found Critter Camp who took him in, at no charge, just with whatever donation we could afford, and drove out to pick him up, as I know they have done for hundreds of other animals over the years. They do a lot of good and will always have a place in my heart. I try to help them do their good work in whatever way I’m able even though I live far from them in another state now.
